If you are looking for a grate to raise your bed of wood fire embers then this product is for you. We have the crater and wanted to raise up our embers and fire 6 to 8 inches higher. The grate did it perfectly. The quality of the grate is same grade as the fire pit and it is coated as well. The cutouts are a perfect size to keep almost everything above the grate. Also quality of cutouts look like water jet or plasma cuts. The grate had no sharp edges or blemishes. We love our crater and adding the grate made it even better. P.S. the fire pit still holds enough wood to have a big bon fire in it still. It just makes it nicer if i want a cooking fire with friends and family now.
