Fire Pit Dips

With today’s recipe, there are many deviations you can feel free to take and make this fire pit fun all your own! While we will include some of our own favorite deviations, take the chance and run with the recipe! You may come up with your own family favorite! Kids and adults alike will love the new way to experience these dips as the flames dance in front of them!

S’mores Fire Pit Dip

1 Bag of Marshmallows

1 Package of Milk Chocolate Chips

1 Box of Graham Crackers

This simple S’mores dip recipe can sit cooking in an iron skillet on a cooking grate over a wood-burning fire pit. Simply place the chocolate chips on the bottom of the skillet and top off with marshmallows. Pro tip: Evenly distributing the marshmallows will help for faster cooking time. Cook the chocolate and marshmallow mixture over the flame for approximately 5 minutes. Watch to be sure the marshmallows are cooking completely. (You will notice them begin to melt and stick together). Take off the flame and enjoy it!

Instead of building a S’more, this recipe allows you to dip into the gooey mixture for a less messy indulgence!

Garlic Knot Cheesy Dip

Pizza dough (uncooked)

1 cup mozzarella (shredded)
½ cup parmesan (grated)

½ cup Ricotta

8oz Cream Cheese (softened)

¼ cup basil (fresh & chopped)

6 Garlic Cloves (Chopped or Minced)

1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper

½ cup Butter (melted)

¼ cup Parsley (Fresh and Chopped)

If your mouth isn’t watering from the name, it sure will by the end of this recipe! The garlic knot dip is a delicious appetizer dish with easy fireside prep for your guests to enjoy!

Divide your pizza dough into 12 equal-sized balls and roll the balls into logs. Take the logs of dough and tie them into knots. Coat an iron skillet with olive oil or butter, and place the knots in a ring around the perimeter of the skillet. Cover the skillet with plastic wrap and let rest for about 30 minutes at room temperature.

In a mixing bowl, combine all cheese’s, basil, red pepper flakes, and three chopped garlic cloves. In a separate dish, melt butter and add parsley with remaining garlic cloves (minced). Stir well to combine.

Uncover the dough knots and scoop the cheese dip mixture into the center of the skillet. Brush the dough knots with the garlic butter and top with additional parmesan cheese. Place the skillet over a fire pit safe cooking grate for approximately 10-20 minutes. The cheese mixture will melt together and begin to bubble when cooked. You can test the dough by placing a toothpick down the middle to test for readiness. The dough will be thoroughly cooked inside and a toothpick clean when placed in the middle. Once the dough is complete, brush the dough with any remaining garlic butter and serve to your guests!

Buffalo Beer Dip

1 cup Beer of Choice (alcohol gets burned off in the fire)

16oz cream cheese (softened)

3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup Buffalo Sauce

¼ cup ranch

¼ cup blue cheese (optional for topping)

If you’re ready to spice up your fire pit with a little extra heat, the Buffalo Beer Dip is for you! This spicy favorite is an excellent dip for chips or chicken skewers! Chicken Skewers can easily cook over your wood-burning fire pit as well!

In an iron skillet combine cheddar cheese, cream cheese, beer, buffalo sauce, and ranch. Cook over your fire pit on a cooking grate meant for high-temperature fires. Cooking time may vary, but complete when the cheese melts in about ten minutes. Be sure to stir the cheese frequently while cooking. If desired, top your dip with blue cheese crumbles to help elevate that spicy sauce! Serve fireside with fresh carrots and celery to help your guests stay cool!

Cheesecake Dip

16oz Cream Cheese (softened)

3-4 TBSP Brown Sugar

¼ cup white chocolate chips (or chunks if desired)

¼ cup milk chocolate chips (or chunks if desired)

The Cheesecake dip is the desired dip to freshen up your fire pit atmosphere! In an iron skillet or foil pie tin, layer in the ingredients in order as above. Beginning with the cream cheese and ending with the chocolate chips. Place skillet (or pie tin) on a fire pit safe cooking grate for about 15 minutes. Once all ingredients melt, the dip is ready to eat. Either stir with a spoon to mix ingredients, or simply dip as is. Serve with marshmallows, graham crackers, and fresh fruit for dipping in a fun fondue!
